- Loss of appetite
- Lethargy, dizziness, slurred speech, intoxication
- Red, watery eyes, hacking cough, runny nose, “munchies”
- Extreme nervousness, agitation, nausea, hangover
- Noticeable changes in personal grooming, sloppy dress
- Sleeping at inappropriate times
- Accident prone
Emotional Problems:
- Unexplained personality changes
- Mood swings, depression, anxiety, irritability
- Anger, demanding behaviors
- Apathy, “I don’t care” attitude
- Memory loss, unexplained confusion
- Former interests are “boring”
Relationship Problems:
- Secretive, withdrawn from family and friends
- Work or school problems
- Self-centered, inconsiderate
- Causes anger, tension or worry among family or friends
- Stealing, unexplained “wealth”, money problems
- Inconsistent, obnoxious behavior
- Boasts about drinking and partying
- Hides alcohol, other drugs and/or paraphernalia
- Actions show decrease concern for well-being of loved ones
